Important Paver Renovations - In the next ten days we will be restoring, leveling, resealing and in some cases, replacing cracked and/or damaged pavers around the clubhouse, the gazebo on the north side of the community, the main entrance and exit and in the traffic circle between the gatehouse and the clubhouse. Some of you may have noticed that work is already being done on the pool deck at the clubhouse. Our contractor has assured us that the disruption to the flow of traffic in the traffic circle should be minimal. The gazebo will be inaccessible for a couple of days. The work at the entrance gates may involve rerouting all traffic to either the visitors’ lane or the residents’ lane, while the other is undergoing repair. Please understand that this restoration work is necessary, as many of the pavers have settled and/or broken over the years. During this time, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation. The results will be well worth the effort, not only for appearances but also for safety.
Important Reminder - If you are a Cobblestone Creek homeowner and are considering renting out your home, please remember that your prospective tenant must receive association approval prior to move-in. The rental application is located on the Documents page of this website, along with complete instructions. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a fine to the homeowner of $100 per day, eviction of the tenant and other possible legal action.
Charter School Update - If you missed the recent COBWRA meeting on the proposed charter school, click this link to read a copy of the minutes of that meeting. This should answer many of your questions. Our COBWRA representative, Mitch Rubin will advise us of any new developments, which we will post here. Check back regularly for updates.
PBSO Alert - Click here for an important alert from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department.
Security reminder to all residents – We have recently heard reports of bicycle thefts in some of our neighboring communities. Please make sure all your belongings are secured inside your home or garage. Whenever possible, park your cars inside the garage. If any cars are parked in the driveway or street, make sure the doors are locked and valuables are brought inside. Let's not tempt any would-be criminals.
Whitefly - Again, whiteflies are becoming a problem in the surrounding communities. Protek, the association’s pest control company has taken a very proactive approach. They have been treating the common areas regularly and have treated twice this month. However, each homeowner must be vigilant regarding his or her own property, as these pests can relocate. We strongly urge you to check your bushes regularly and have them treated, if necessary. If you need assistance with pest control, we suggest you contact Protek Pest Control at 561-965-7378. Click here for more information on the whitefly.
Mosquitoes - We all know mosquitoes are a problem, especially this time of year. In May, the Association released thousands of tiny fish into the lakes that eat mosquito larvae, but that doesn’t solve the problem of mosquitoes that survive, and not all mosquitoes breed in the lakes. Our efforts in persuading the county to spray our area have met with success in prior years when numerous residents telephoned Mosquito Control. Again this year, we urge everyone to call them at 561-967-6480. In the meantime, click here for some helpful tips in dealing with mosquitoes.
Reminder to pet owners - June is here, bringing with it all the sweet smells of summer: flowers in bloom, fresh-cut grass and dog poop. The association has received numerous complaints of residents not cleaning up after their pets. No one appreciates his or her yard being used as a dumping ground. It’s upsetting and unsanitary to leave pet deposits, especially on someone else’s lawn. Please clean up after your pet. Remember, the HOA documents require each pet owner to clean up any solid animal waste, to always walk his or her dog on a leash and not to allow his or her dog to walk onto another homeowner’s property. We all try to be responsible residents of this planet and minimize our carbon footprint in the universe. Let’s also try to be responsible residents of Cobblestone Creek and minimize our doggy footprint on our neighbor’s property.
Revised Odd-Even Parking Procedures - Beginning May 17, the odd-even parking will coordinate with the current month and will remain the same for the entire month. For example, May is the fifth month, and five is an odd number. For the remainder of the month of May, all vehicles parked in the street must be parked on the side with odd-numbered addresses. On June 1st, the parking will change to the side of the street with even-numbered addresses, for the entire month of June. If you have any questions, please contact the clubhouse office.
Clubhouse Rules - Now that the weather is warmer and friends and relatives are visiting, please advise them of the clubhouse rules and regulations. If you are out walking your family pet and suddenly decide to stop by the pool, please bring your furry friend home, first. Pets are not allowed within the clubhouse gates, including the tot lot. Additionally, children under age 18 are not allowed in the spa. If you are not sure of the rules, request a copy from the clubhouse or by email at cobblestonecreekhoa@gmail.com. Any violation of posted clubhouse rules may result in an immediate fine against the homeowner responsible. A little advanced knowledge can prevent mishaps and misunderstandings.
Pets - Prior to adopting a pet, please check the Resident Guidelines for rules regarding pet ownership and prohibited breeds of dogs.
Reminder - An application and deposit must be submitted prior to a POD or dumpster being brought into the community for any construction/renovations. Click here to print a copy.
